ASUS Debuts UL30Vt Notebook With Discrete Graphics

Posted by yaso Tuesday, November 17, 2009

ASUS has announced that its latest laptop for the UL30 series, the UL30Vt will soon be available. Its predecessors have created a respectable name for the series, and from the way things look, the UL30Vt won’t let anyone down either,
The laptop sports good looks with its robust brushed aluminum exterior and has a less than 1-inch thick profile. It packs an Intel 1.4 GHz Core2 Duo processor, which can be overclocked, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, the company’s Turbo 33 technology that promises up to 33% faster performance, Wi-Fi connectivity (802.11 b/g/n), a 4 in 1 card reader (SD,MMC,MS,MS-Pro) and optional Bluetooth V2.1+EDR.
On top of a 13.3-inch HD display that brings 1366×768 resolutions, the new ASUS UL30Vt laptop also boasts a long battery life for “all day computing” (actually some 12 hours), an NVIDIA GeForc G 210M with 512 MB VRAM – switchable graphics card (that is expected to pull down the battery life by nearly an hour), an HDMI slot and three USB 2.0 ports.
No word how much the new ASUS UL30VT will cost, but considering that the UL30 goes for $749, it shouldn’t be much more.
